Congratulations on your purchase of a handmade instrument from Richard Wilson Guitars!

One of the benefits of owning an instrument made by Richard Wilson Guitars is that, as the original owner, you are entitled to a limited lifetime warranty. This warranty is non-transferable.

Although the Richard Wilson Guitars limited warranty lasts for as long as you own your instrument, there are a few reasonable restrictions of which you should be aware.

What this warranty covers:

This Richard Wilson Guitars instrument is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, to the original purchaser, for as long as they owns the instrument.

Components not manufactured by Richard Wilson Guitars (e.g. tuners, cases, pickups, hardware, electronics, switches, jacks, controls, plated surfaces, etc.) are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date. This limited warranty constitutes the entire warranty of Richard Wilson Guitars with regards to its instruments. No representation or warranty by any Richard Wilson Guitars salesperson, dealer, agent, representative or employee shall be binding upon Richard Wilson Guitars other than as expressly set forth herein.

What this warranty does not cover:

This limited warranty does not cover the following: wear and tear from normal use and any damage that is the result of misuse, abuse, or unauthorised modifications, damages from unauthorised or self-made repairs, improper maintenance, accidents, exposure to adverse temperature and/or humidity, and other careless action, which by its nature results in damage to the instrument or to components not manufactured by Richard Wilson Guitars.

Consumable and semi-consumable components including but not limited to strings, bridge pins, nuts and saddles are not covered by this warranty.

This warranty is strictly limited to repair or replacement of any and all parts of the instrument found, under this warranty, to be defective upon examination by Richard Wilson Guitars. In no event shall Richard Wilson Guitars be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

Although great care has been taken to use the very finest finishing materials available on this Richard Wilson Guitars instrument, cracking or checking of the finish can occur due to adverse atmospheric conditions. The resulting cracking or checking is not covered under this warranty.

Shipping and insurance charges to and from Richard Wilson Guitars and/or an authorised repair agent for authorised repairs are the responsibility of the owner. Although we take great care in shipping any instrument, we are not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping either to or from Richard Wilson Guitars.

This warranty is the sole warranty of Richard Wilson Guitars and is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranties of fitness for purpose and merchantability.
