Jacob Raagaard
Artist
Jacob Raagaard is a Lap Steel guitarist from Denmark. Jacob started his music journey on a regular guitar, taking his first guitar lesson at a Danish music school at the age of 11. He later discovered the Weissenborn guitar while exploring the many fingerstyle videos on YouTube. Jacob started practising slide guitar on a regular acoustic guitar by raising the strings and playing slide with a bar. When Jacob got his first Weissenborn guitar it didn’t take long before he wrote his very first song, Sundown Slide.
Recently, Jacob Raagaard debuted his sublime album for CandyRat Records, Sundown Slide - which was performed on a Richard Wilson Tasmanian Blackwood Style 3 Weissenborn guitar.
Jacob says...
"The Style 3 really does that for me!"
"Richard Wilson's Weissenborns are at the absolute top of the game. I’m completely blown away by the incredibly clear overtones and the sustain is unlike anything else I’ve ever heard in a Weissenborn. Since I write a lot of instrumental music for Weissenborn only, it’s important for me to have a Weissenborn with a big and rich sound on its own." - Jacob Raagaard
